Hmmm, good one, phil. ** It is a close up taken of a Quad ESL63 panel ( see new pic ) on my ench - but from the reverse side and showing the fine nylon gauze used as acoustic damping. The punched holes in the PCB material are all of 1.7mm dia. ........ Phil |

I messed with them in the 60's using an acetylene torch with a flame seeded by sodium chloride and electrodes placed in the flame. Audio was fed to the electodes with a DC bias.
