On new wall mounted boilers for domestic properties, is there a minimum
dimension required the flue has to be away above a door or window?
The manufacturers always list the dimensions to the side or below but
never above?
Does anyone know if there is a standard figure or not.
thanks

The installation instructions will invariably contain this information.

In general they will be in line with BS 5440 and that will depend on the
the type of the flue (probably fan assisted and room sealed) and the power
of the boiler.

Since the the area above a window or door is a lintel you won't want
to be knocking a hole through it. Therefore the usual 300mm minimum for
fanned boiler flues is reasonable.
