I'm thinking of moving my gas meter from inside to outdoors in one of

from
Googling there seems to be an 8 week wait, and a £250 charge.

Anyway, the meter would be located in the same place, but on the

outside,
rather than than the inside. Are there any reasons not to get this done.

The
only reason we're considering it, is to free up some space in the

kitchen.

What sort of reasons were you thinking of (other than the cost?!)

Now that you ask, I haven't a clue. Stupid question on my part, but you
never know, someone might have come up a reason.

I think it's the method of choice these days, because it means the meter
readers can access the meter whenever they want without bothering you.
When I had to have my meter moved a few years ago (because the garage it
was in was being demolished!) I used this route, with no probs as far as
I can see.
