This seems totally wrong to me.

I assume you're referring to Ivanka holding up that can of Goya beans
and saying they are good. She would say it was not the WH doing it,
just her personally, which AFAIK, there is no prohibition against.
It certainly was stupid. All she did was give the Goya story more
legs and it's doing more harm to Goya. But then she didn't do it because
she gives a rat's ass about Goya, she did it because she tone deaf and
thinks it will help pop get reelected.

The CEO of Goya, what a dope. First, unlike with any other president, when
invited to appear with Trump a competent CEO of a company like that would
have declined. With Trump and his crazy rants and outrageous comments,
you don't know what he's going to say while you're standing there with him.
Like who would want to be there when he said that there were very fine
people marching with the white supremacists in Charlottesville?
Or when he decides to defend the Confederate flag, which he's done recently?
But this dope not only went, he couldn't just participate and offer support
for Trump's sham du jour which was something to do with education for Latinos.
No, he had to say that America was "blessed" to have Trump. Yes, Trump the
president who smeared illegals as a bunch of rapists, who said Mexico
isn't sending their best, they aren't people like you and you, while pointing
to his white audience. Trump who is still trying to deport DACA people.
And then the dopey CEO is surprised that people are boycotting Goya products?
Ivanka's little stunt isn't going to recover sales among that bunch. And
the uneducated white males who are Trump's strongest supporters aren't likely
to run out and buy some either. But then like I said, that wasn't her
objective anyway.

There is also a photo of Donald displaying a selection of Goya products.
