In the Beatles song, Let it be, does that mean

May it be. Cause it to happen.

or

Leave it alone. Leave it stay the way it is.

Very very interesting . thanks.

It mentions Altamont. I heard quite a bit about Woodstock, and a few
weeks later I went to a Woodstock imitation just NE of Madison
Wisconsin, where everything went well, the bands played all night, I
didn't get much sleep, and we left about 10AM, because I didn't like
crowds and my friend didn't like rock music, but we still had a good
time**, because we were both curious to see it and for sociological
reasons.

But I didn't hear a thing about Altamont until recently.

**We were both so sleepy we drove off the road into a grassy field and
slept on a blanket. Woke up an hour or two later just as a cop was
arriving. He asked a couple questions, I asked him where we could camp
Saturday night, and he gave directions to Golden Lake, Wi. which was
really nice, woods, lake, marsh, meadow all in a small space, with
swamped rowboat we emptied and rowed around in for a little while. It
still looks, on google maps, pretty much like it did then, though it has
a restaurant and a bar quite close and about 20 houses around part of
it.

I actually drank water straight from the marsh, but didn't get sick. She
wouldn't drink it, of course, and I know she didn't go without water to
drink, so I wonder why I resorted to drinking it.
