Default Extracting broken "easy out"

I just removed a broken easy out from my jaguar xjs bonnet where the gas struts bolt on. i thought i was doomed but i used a tungsten carbide burring tool. the set of ten from Amazon was only around £10 pounds. when you look at them you think you have no chance. ten minutes later, job done. i found that the one with the flat end was the one as it has cutters on the end. will be ordering another set. well impressed as again, both bolt and EZ out were below the surface. although i was reading another reply and the guy mentioned using plasticine around the broken stud and using an acid, this worked for me when extracting cylinder head bolts from a v12 jag engine but i used aluminium wheel cleaner as it isn't as harsh.just leave for a few days to soak through.

ken.
