I have no connections to Wilke or Yorkcraft and the following commercial
promotion is just my personal opinion. Perhaps I just like to convince
myself that I made the right decision when purchasing this low cost planer.
The 15" Precison Planer (YC-15P) price is unbeatable. With $799 you are
getting better planer than those from competitors, which have price tag from
$1,000 to $1,200.

Question:
The blades are on top at fixed height and the table is moved up and down
to adjust the thickness. Is there any easy way to have your external infeed
and outfeed stands adjusted to follow the table height? The Lee Valley
Ultimate Roller Stand (50U01.01) has the fine height adjustment, which could
be the right solution. Please share your experience with the LV stand.

Sure - fix 'em to the table. But you knew that, didn't you?

They make fixed bed types as well, because you can't do otherwise. I find
this more convenient in a small shop, because I can mount it on a stand of
proper height to clear stock under benches and such. If you're doing a
board at a time, and don't use a helper, just walk the three steps and help
the board off the other side. If you're doing ten boards, get a helper, and
have them keep track of thickness by placing boards to one side as they
clear the planer, while you pick up the ones from the last pass on the other
side.
