Default Small Locks for Turned Boxes

I have been comissioned to make 20 small boxes that have a lock mounted
inside. As you know, I would have to make the boxes huge to be able to
include most oif the humidor type lock sets. I need a small lock that is
about 1 inch square. Does anyone know of a source for a small lock set with
a hook latch and skelton type key/

So, to reiterate- 1 inch square, hook latch and skelton key

Forget Rockler, Woodcraft and Lee Valley

Help!

Ray

David, if your suggestion works for Ray, and you manage to salvage this
project for him, maybe Ray will offer you a percentage of the
"commission", it seems without help from someone Ray might not be able
to deliver on his contract.

James

If I were to pay a commission for the answers received on this board, I
would also frequently be asking for payment for answers I provide. One
purpose of this forum is to help each other by sharing our knowledge. If
you want some of the $65.00 per box I am going to be earning, then maybe you
can do the work and I will pay $30.00 for that, because that appears to be
the cost I will incur in making these.

But, hey what's the fun in having you do the work?!

Ray

I let this message sit for a day on my server just to mull it over - I'm
not exactly sure where you're coming from here James. Are you serious or
was this a bit of tongue in cheek stuff?

As to the original question about locks, I'm thinking a huge old hasp or
maybe a lag bolt driven down through the top into the bottom - ala
Garry Knox Bennett.

When I said 1 inch by 1 inch - that Lag Bolt might be just the right size!
