Recommendation for kitchen design/fitters?
We're about to buy a flat that needs some renovation -- taking out a wall
separating the kitchen from the reception and updating the kitchen -- and were thinking about either... 1) ripping out a wall ourselves and settling for unambitious minor changes to the existing kitchen, or... 2) going to a place like Magnet or Moben (or Möben, if you're a fan of gratuitous umlauts). Our main motivation for option 2 is a) that a budget would be set, and we presume if the plans and budget are agreed up front, we won't have any nasty surprises in terms of cost b) they'll do the work quicker than we could. For those who've decided that they'll forgo the d-i-y opportunity, and opted for a specialised kitchen designer/supplier, what companies would they recommend (in London) that do this at a fair price? Gus PS - Tried to find a more appropriate place to post this, (e.g. uk.no-I-wont-diy-this) but couldn't find anything! |

Re Moben you could check out http://clik2complaints.co.uk/DPs/moben_links.html Their reputation is not AIUI the best ... though this just could be because they do lots of kitchens and so even 0.1% of dissatisfied customers comes to a lot, but I wouldn't go near them. -- Tony Bryer SDA UK 'Software to build on' http://www.sda.co.uk Free SEDBUK boiler database browser http://www.sda.co.uk/qsedbuk.htm |
