Default Shower Curtain rail for Corner Bath.. Please help.

I've been looking around for a shower curtain for my corner bath, but the
only one I have found was £300.. Could somebody please recommend me a nice
(but a bit cheaper) curtain which is shaped in such a way that I can use
most of my corner bath area.

Thanks,
Rune

How about a folding screen like:
http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/...64360&id=18106

When unfolded and in use, it doesn't need to be in a straight line, it
would follow the front contour of your bath. A lot neater than a
shower curtain IMO as you don't need a rail.

If you did still want to go rail / curtain thing then Homebase do a
flexable solution that can be joined to make several shapes. The
gliders glide ok, the latest version comes with two (not one) drop
poles to support the rail spaced around mid way (you might get away
with one pole if doing an "L" shape as the end mounts are quite
solid).

I fitted such to our corner bath some 15 years ago and the track
system has seen out several sets of curtains! ;-) (my daughter fell
over in the bath / shower and grabbed the curtain as she fell. She
ripped all the eyelets out of both curtains but the track stayed in
place ;-) )

The best news is they are under +AKM-40 (from memory) , B&Q do a similar
one but I don't think it's a good.

All the best ..

Thank you for your feedback. I'll have a look at the screens you suggest.

I have found the one I think might be for me.
http://www.showerdrape.co.uk/productList.asp?c=12 (Corner Rail, at the
buttom of the screen).. One piece and nicely shaped. In fact, it looks
identical to the one I saw that retailed at £300.. This one however is £50..

Mount a piece of curtain tracking on the ceiling. Hang the curtain from this
with say, brass chain. Very robust, adjustable, 20 year life!

I've not tried this but I would have a go if I had to do it.

The £30 screwfix shower rail kit contains the pieces to make a number
of different types of shower rail.
(part no 15896).

Usually you cut the straight lengths to make up what is required.

The bends are not so tight that you could not cut them in their middles
thus giving you the 45 degree parts you need to make up the
quarter-of-an-octagon shape you will require. Indeed you will have two
corner pieces to have a go with and you might only need to halve one of
them.
You will need to 'persuade' the alignment pegs to go into the round
sections.

This kit includes one vertical support part.

HTH Let me know if it works.

Use some copper tube (15 or 22mm) and hire a pipe bender. Bend the
tube to the same contour as the bath. Get it chromed and mount.
