Glue sticks
I have just bought a hot melt glue gun from a discount shop (£3.99).
Is there much difference in the quality of glue sticks? If so, what is best for general work? |

Last batch I bought from CPC were both decent quality and cheap for the quantity. -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |

You need to spend at leat £150 to get a proper glue gun from a specialist glue gun shop. Discount shops sell shampoo, how can you expect the proper level of service? Is there much difference in the quality of glue sticks? If so, what is best for general work? You need gold plated ones at £15 each from a specialist glue gun stick shop. Or Waitrose. Pop into a local Aldi and have a look in their racks,I think they sold boxes of 25 sticks at £2.99 two weeks ago? |

Andy Hall Whoops - sorry it was me :-) Is there a significance to the glue-stick colour? I have accumulated assorted white, black grey and clear(ish) ones over the years and lost the packaging. I can't remember if the colour means it's for wood, plastic, general-purpose etc, or it's just to match what you're gluing. Anyway it's virtually impossible to remove the stick from my gun so I use whatever's in there.... -- LSR |
