Default Ravenheat Combi. No shower without c/heating on?

I know nothing about combi boilers, and am trying
to help with a problem for a relative unfortunately
over the phone atm. The situation is:-

Ravenheat Combi boiler, 20/20E4. Serviced by
BG every November.

Everything was working ok, c/heating, hot water,
shower upstairs.

A bathroom shop has come in, replaced the sink
and retiled the shower in the upstairs bathroom.

They apparently did turn off the gas supply to
the boiler whilst working, but say that was all.

Now, the shower will not run hot unless the
central heating is also on. If it is not on it's
a cold shower.

Could the bathroom fitter have done something to
the Combi, or is it a coincidental separate fault
(that requires BG to be called in)?

Thanks,

Tony Williams.

I'll ask, tomorrow now unfortunately. Trouble
is she is getting into the habit of turning
the c/heating on to get what is needed and this
then ruins any experiments.

Just asked.... No, there is now no hot water to
any tap (or the shower) unless the c/heating is
also turned on.

I don't know whether it could be the work in the
bathroom or whether it is just a coincidence, with
the weather getting warmer and c/heating now being
off.
