Default Telescopic shower rail (where only one end touches a wall)

I'm looking for a telescopic shower rail where one end is attached to
the wall and the other end is not attached to anything and it can be
extended to about 4feet and closed to 6-12 inches (rather like the
aerial in a car).

Our bathroom is very very small so I don't want the rail to be
permanently in place.

Does such a thing exist?

Would the shower curtain have to crinkle up ? Might look messy.
What about a shower curtain that comes down from the ceiling like a
projector screen ? I could virtually disappear into the ceiling when
not required.
You could even control it by an electric motor.
All DIY of course !

Wow, that looks ideal......

Then I looked at the price £233.

I'd rather spend the money on a concertina showerscreen than that but
good ones also cost up to £200.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm looking for a cheaper alternative.
