Default WTB: O-rings for garden hose fittings?

Hi Folks,
Anyone got a source for those black rubber "O" ring washers that fit
neatly on garden hose fittings?
Some of these have perished on my outdoor fittings. Others have been
spirited away (probably by
my kids when they fill balloons with water at the outside tap and then
roll the balloon neck AND the O-ring off the tap in one operation).
I've tried using some spare O-rings that I had lying around my garage,
but
they are too thick and hence you cannot get the plug to mate with the
socket - aaargh.

So anyone got a source, or failing that an exact specification of the
rings that I need (as in Diameter and Thickness)?

Thanks in advance

Mungo

Garden centres have; recall Hozelock do small packets of them, or try a
Builders/Plumbers Merchants; may have loose.

Hi Geoff,
Thanks for the kind offer.
Methinks that the tolerance is quite fine, such that the "replacement"
I used from my
box of washers didn't do the job.
I'll try and plunder the local garden centre for the Hozelock packet
suggested by
Gel (thanks Gel).

Ta again Geoff
