The tendency of down-market right-wing knuckle-draggers to call every
person in military uniform a "hero" is wrong. Those three admirals who
were just forced into retirement - avoiding prosecution - for accepting
bribes from an arms dealer certainly weren't heroes.

Being in the military does not equate to heroism. That's just a given.

In a world where a dog that barks before an earthquake is frequently
lauded as a hero, I'm happy to let McCain have the title. Trump wants
to slam senile McCain. So far so good. All Trump had to say was "very
very crazy bald dummy loser with no TV show McCain gave us Sarah Palin
and ruined our credibility." That could have been a moment for the
ages.
