I think you may have messed up on this usenet post. I already listed it twice and it did not sell. I bought this slide and a little one for $12 at a liquidation auction. The little one sold for $125. This one does not want to sell and I do not want to keep it. I will keep it on auction, but if anyone wants to pick up locally, I will un-list it. Obviously if it gets bids, which I doubt, I would not give it away. My expectation is that no one here who is local, will want it, and no one will buy it, so I will just give it to the Mexicans. -- Due to extreme spam originating from Google Groups, and their inattention to spammers, I and many others block all articles originating from Google Groups. Apparently you only see a heavy linear slide when you look at it, but I saw
a good basis for a lathe project. As soon as I saw the picture, I saw a lathe bed and carriage. Wes, if it does not sell, and is not spoken for, I will be glad to hold it for you. I personally think that making a homemade lathe is a very misdirected effort, but it will surely be fun and will earn you a million bragging rights. You can attach all kinds of leadscrews to this slide. -- Due to extreme spam originating from Google Groups, and their inattention to spammers, I and many others block all articles originating from Google Groups.
