Welcome to the group. You will find a lot of comments about Chinese
products here. Please try not to be offended. There used to be a lot
of junk produced in the U.S. too.

I hope you can help us with knowing which Chinese companies produce
good metalworking products.

Where are you a student? And are you from that area?

Let me go down into my basement and chew on my big toy, er, X3. Back in
a few minutes...

Well, if there's lead there, the way lubricant covers it.

Must be he knew a lot of women drafters that used mechanical pencils.
Remember, your grandpa never saw AutoCad or other CAD application, it
was all with mechanical pencils. Must be that the women drafters were
really nice and reloaded his mechanical pencil when he was out.

I prefer .5mm for outlines and .3mm for interior details.

Grandpa used to say, "Now THAT will put lead in yer pencil" whenever he saw
a pretty girl.

Yup, an empty one is fairly useless.

I'd have to put some caveats to that. In some calibers or velocities,
lead smears pretty good. I'd want to use either a base cup or a thin
layer of deposited copper.

Well if the problem is close enough to be a worry, leading isn't going to be
much of an issue. A lewis lead remover, mercury, or a reverse plating kit
will fix whatever problem. Heck, one J*cketed bullet will clean moderate
leading.

Some day I want to make a prog die to make gas checks.
