Default squeaky washer

Okay....I've figured out that my old GE washer....which still washes
fine...but the noise is actually a loud squeak that I can hear by moving the
drum back and forth. Is there a way to lubricate it in anyway?

Being that it is a clutch repair on a 15 year old washer....would it be best
to just replace the machine?

Hi,

The ?clutch? is bad??

The clutch assy can become noisy with age but usually makes a terrible
racket during all machine functions ( washing, draining, spinning ).

A new clutch, or even rebuilding the old clutch would be cheaper than
a new washer....if the rest of the washer is is good shape ( no rust
holes, etc ) I'd fix the old one....JMO!

jeff.
