:) :) Terminix said that they would retreat the area of my front porch and :) have a contrator out to open the wall and determine what repairs are :) needed. Today the re-treatment was done with Termidor. However, I am :) still waiting to hear from the Terminix contractor on when they can :) come out. I am worried that if it takes too long for the contractor to :) check things out, the re-treatment will have killed any active :) termites in the wall and Terminix will try to say that all the damage :) is old and refuse to do repairs. The Terminix manager said not to :) worry that the chemical takes 60 – 90 days to kill all of the :) termites. Does this sound accurate? How long can I expect termites to :) remain active in the house after Termidor treatment? :) :) It takes 60-90 days to kill the colony, the treated area will be inactive much sooner. Very doubtful you will see activity there after a few weeks. I have gone back on three jobs to see what the wall looked like when they open it up for repairs, all three were two weeks to the day of the treatments and all three showed no sign of live termites at all even though all were active areas at time of treatment. It is said that the early bird gets the worm, but it is the second mouse that gets the cheese. Lar. (to e-mail, get rid of the BUGS!! |
