I let it soak in a bowl of water with a couple of drop of dishwashing detergent then rinse it out and let dry. Because of my diabetes I have to get an eye exam twice a year and they give me a new cloth every visit. Im getting a collection. Jimmie |

I have a solution of ammonia water and alcohol in a bottle that foams when it comes out. The bottle originally contained some kind of soap... Anyway, I use the foam to wash the lens, rinse well and dry with the lint free cloth. Does not leave scratches on the lens. |

The part number is 3M #9027 If you're into photography, they also work as an 18% grey card! I tested the thing against a WhiBal and it was pretty much identical. -- |~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| | Malcolm Hoar "The more I practice, the luckier I get". | | Gary Player. | | http://www.malch.com/ Shpx gur PQN. | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

aemeijers posted for all of us...
Free hint- NEVER lean over a campfire or backyard cleanup fire wearing coated glasses. Those fancy coatings are NOT heat resistant, and they will alligator in seconds. C'mon, ask me how I know that. Also dog saliva... -- Tekkie Don't bother to thank me, I do this as a public service. |

Vapors from household bleach seem to do it, too. I wash my glasses in the shower with the same soap that I use on my skin. Works great. Of course, if they get dirty in the middle of the day, I usually resort to saliva and the tail of my t-shirt. Cindy Hamilton |
