Default Ventless gas-log question(s)

Previous owner claims 2 gas-log units in the house are 'ventless'. I
can't find a manu. name/part no./mode no./ on these darn things and am
hoping to at least verify they are indeed ventless.

I've been told that the very light thin-ceramic-over-fiberglass logs
are a sign of a 'ventless' unit. Any other thoughts?

Has anyone ever seen a ventless unit installed into a woodstove?

I've heard ventless units have a CO2 detector built-in. Is this true?
If true, when did they start doing this?

Also, has anyone ever been able to find replacement logs? Some in my
unit are cracked/broken.

And last, a rant: how can a gas-log unit not have a manufacturer's name
clearly stated on it? Maybe if I disconnect the gas line and look under
the thing...

The list of manufactures that do not label their products is long and
growing.
I have never seen a ventless set of logs with a CO detector.

To many variables, seek local professional help.

They have an oxygen depletion sensor. You should ask your gas supplier to
perform a service
check.
