Default Mitsubishi WT46807 bowed screen?

I have a friend that has a Mitsubishi Big screen TV model WT46807 that is
approx 4 to 5yrs old.

When it is first turned on the screen is bowed in on the top and bottom and
alittle on the left / right sides. Then after about 10 minutes it is ok, but
sometimes the problem re-appears even when warm.

Any ideas.......

Thanks,

Dave

Suspect problems in the registration or power supply circuits, check the
caps and connections in both. Assuredly it will get worse if not addressed.

Default Mitsubishi WT46807 bowed screen?

Virtually none of these sets have had any problems with caps. They are
almost always bad solder connections or a bad output IC.

Hi dave,
I have exactly the same problem with my WT46807. Did you have any luck
fixing the problem? I would be interested to learn what you did to correct
it if so. I am planning on checking for loose connections.
Thanks,Ken

My 46807 has the *exact* same problem; only it's been a problem for about a
year, and it's gotten progressively worse. Now sometimes it won't even pop
back to normal. Please post if you have a solution. THX!

Resolder the joints on the convergence output ICs.
