TV does not remember channel settings, image settings, and sound settings after having been shut down
Dear all,
My TV (Philips, FSQ Vision) does not remember channel settings, image settings, and sound settings after having been shut down. When having been stand-by, there is no problem. Numbers on the back: 21CE4550/10R AGO 48714 226206 Probably the cause is a broken battery inside so that the memory doesn't work. Can anyone tell me more specifics, or what info do you need? Thanks in advance, Michiel Holland, Europe |

They gave up on the battery awhile back and now use an EPROM, that probaly what
it needs. Likely you will need an OEM one from Phillips. If you know how to solder and handle static electricity you might do it yourself, but if not take it to the shop. JURB |

You may need a Philips OEM, and the repair can be somewhat difficult if you don't know how to handle static-sensitive IC's and if you aren't good at soldering.
