Rear projection TV, fresnel and lenticular lenses
A few weeks ago we had a TV tech out to resolder the circuit boards
on an old Sony KPR53EX20. There was also a squashed bug between the fresnel and lenticular lens which we asked him to remove. When he took off the lenticular lens he commented, "Ah, this is a replacement. The lens is supposed to be attached to the fresnel." (He was right about that -- we had replaced a scratched lenticular lens a few years ago and did the work ourselves). His comment made us curious: are the two lenses supposed to be glued together or something? In what way are they supposed to be attached? Thanks. |

SONY Lens assemblies are separate items for the Fresnal and Lenticular, and
are sold as separate replacement items. "Pete R" wrote in message ink.net... A few weeks ago we had a TV tech out to resolder the circuit boards on an old Sony KPR53EX20. They are supposed to be taped together.
